Before
Cycles I couldn’t plan around, and a 3pm crash every day.
After
Steadier cycles, and breakfasts that last until lunch.
I’d been told more than once to just lose weight, and nobody explained what that meant day to day. My cycles were all over the place and I crashed every afternoon at three.
Breakfast came first
Ana started with breakfast, which felt almost too simple. Protein and fibre in the morning, a proper lunch and a snack I’d planned rather than grabbed. No weighing, no apps and no foods I had to give up.
The afternoon crash went first, within a few weeks. My cycles took longer to settle, and Ana was honest that food is one part of the picture, alongside my GP. I liked that she never promised more than she could.
Now I can mostly plan around my cycle, and I don’t spend the afternoon looking for biscuits.
